About Dirty Paradise

The name Dirty Paradise is inspired by the destructive and creative relationship humans have with the planet. As a gallery it exists as an evolving constellation of individuals and groups, presenting artistic practices of local and global communities.

Mixing the dirty and the pristine, the exhibition celebrates the importance of looking sideways, showcasing a marriage of artistic styles and approaches. The medium changes from person to person, from painting, photography, sculpture, installation, written word and performance. The aim, energy and attitude of each artist however is the same; make something, or make something happen.
